本日大安吉日。
今日は大安吉日。しかもバレンタインデー。
私事で恐縮ですが、本日入籍しました。新しい人生の幕開けといいますか、ひとつの節目として今後も頑張ります！
さて、婚姻届を提出に市役所に行きました。そのときのことです。
さすがに今日の婚姻届提出は多かったそうで、通常の三倍くらい提出があったそうなのですが、その窓口の人の対応にはちょっとびっくりしました。
なぜかというと、「あなた私の友達でしたっけ？」と聞きたくなるくらい、まるで友人に話しかけるかのような対応をされるのです。「これは窓口でフレンドリーに対応することで心の距離感を縮めようとしているのかな？」と好意的に解釈もしてみましたが、やはり私には違和感がありました。
それだけではなく、手続きに際して伝え漏れがあったり、質問に対してどうも頼りない返事が返ってきたりと、ちょっと不安になることもありました。
市役所にお勤めの皆様の中に、様々な分野でしっかり活動されている方々がいらっしゃることはよく存じておりますが、こういった窓口の対応ひとつで、「やっぱり役所は…」というようなことをいわれてしまうのは大変残念だと思います。
市民にとっては窓口の対応ひとつがいわゆる「役所」に対する印象を造ってしまうのですから、ぜひとも行政的な手続きのプロフェッショナルとして対応して欲しいものだと思いました。
よくいわれるような「役所的」イメージを、役所の中から払拭していただけるように。期待をこめての今日の日記です。
